Commissaries CANCEL sidewalk sales, demos, more as COVID-19 outbreak continues..
“The cancellation of these events is due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our employees, customers and industry partners,” said Tracie Russ, DeCA’s director of sales.
In addition to sidewalk sales, DeCA is cancelling in-store product demonstrations, which includes DeCA’s free coffee program; group tours; vendor-sponsored events and new CLICK2GO celebrations.

Expanded Patronage
Starting Jan. 1, all service-connected disabled veterans, Purple Heart recipients, former prisoners of war and primary veteran caregivers will be eligible to shop at commissaries worldwide.

The Scholarships for Military Children Program for academic year 2021-2022 is accepting applications through Feb. 17.
The program, now entering its 21st year, recognizes the contributions of military families to the readiness of the fighting force and celebrates the commissary’s role in enhancing military quality of life. It’s administered by Fisher House Foundation, and so far the program has awarded more than $20.1 million to 11,814 students, selected from a pool of nearly 105,000 applicants.
