Golden Flake Snack Foods is voluntarily recalling a limited number of its Hot Thin and Crispy potato chips because they may contain milk and other dairy ingredients not listed on the package, according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent Jan. 17.

The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Christopher Wicker, a public health advisor for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has a recalled or withdrawn product in its inventory, the product is immediately removed from store shelves.

The following product is affected by this recall:

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to dairy products run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
