McCormick & Co. withdraws tartar sauce due to spoilage

McCormick & Co. is withdrawing its Golden Dipt Tartar Sauce due to a spoilage issue according to a withdrawal notice from the Defense Commissary Agency's food safety office sent Dec. 9.

DeCA has publicized this product withdrawal to all of its stores, said Richard Stith, lead consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has a recalled or withdrawn product in its inventory, the product is immediately removed from store shelves.

The following product is affected by this recall:

  • McCormick & Co., Inc. Golden Dipt Tartar Sauce for Seafood 8 fluid ounces: UPC 041234111766, date code June 24, 2017

Customers who purchased this product at the commissary should return it for a refund.
